Dear Rally Friends,
It has been four months since the past edition of the Tulpenrallye. We look back on a successful rally in perfect weather conditions, exciting competition in all classes and a great atmosphere. It is up to us to organize an equivalent Tulpenrallye again in 2023. Today you receive the first Newsletter for the 69th Tulpenrallye. The rally will start on Sunday May 7th, 2023 in the south of France. A start location will not be announced today. On Saturday May 13th, 2023 the finish will be as usual at Chateau St. Gerlach in Valkenburg. With this 69th edition we will add another chapter to the long Tulpenrallye history.
Our route managers Jan and Erwin Berkhof have plotted a beautiful route again. The past two weeks they have been in France to check and/or adjust the route. In addition, we are searching for suitable HQ locations for this rally.
We are very motivated to organize the 2023 edition of the Tulpenrallye and look forward to your registrations from November 5th 2022 onwards!

Preparations
The all-new Results Centre crew has unanimously agreed to attend at the coming edition of the rally. The experience gained will thus be retained, which is very good news for the organization and all participants. In addition, the Results Centre has extensively evaluated last year’s process. Points of improvement from the race management and the route directors have been included in this. iSource is currently working on a new version of the Results Centre software.

Registration for the 69th Tulpenrallye
As usual, registration for the 69th Tulpenrallye is by invitation only. This invitation will be sent out on Friday November 4th, 2022. Then we also publish the draft regulations and the HQ locations of the rally. Registration will open on Saturday November 5th, 2022 at 10.00 hrs and will close (if there are enough registrations) on Saturday November 12th 2022 at 20.00 hrs. There is no rush to register, take your time! This will give you the opportunity to register correctly and add current photos. If there are too many entries, a draw will be made, regardless of the date and time of your entry. On Sunday November 20th, 2022 at 20.00 hrs the initial list of participants will be put online.

Explanation, results and photo book
After the 68th edition of the Tulpenrallye we announced to make a results- and photo book. There will also be an explanation book available. The explanation book is ready, but to save on shipping costs we are waiting for the results and photo book. The latter has been delayed for reasons that the Organizing Committee had taken a summer break. The set of books is expected to be sent out at the end of September.

Tulpenrallye herrings and jenever at Friday’s SLS finish
It is becoming a tradition: this year again the Organization Committee was present at the finish of the SLS in Brussels with fresh herrings and 100% grain jenever of the Gebroeders Genever. It is great to see how enthusiast crews appreciate this treat after a tiring day. The Tulpenrallye herring and jenever is the equivalent of the “bitterballen” that the SLS treats us to at the finish in Luxembourg.
