Less mountains in 67th Tulpenrallye

The 67th Tulpenrallye has 4 classes: Expert, Sporting, Touring and Vintage. There will be 6 full days of driving, from Monday 11th to Saturday 16th of May. The Expert class will drive an evening stage on Wednesday May 13th. The route managers are very pleased with the fact that the rally is well balanced over the different days. Every day will include beautiful routes with great views and sceneries. The challenges for the navigator are well spread over the week and the level of difficulty increases during the rally. Especially in the Expert class the navigation challenges are bigger than in the last edition of the Tulpenrallye. We expect, especially in the Expert Class, the biggest differences in the final results of participants.

Bordeaux offers a great starting point for the rally. In the first three days we will drive through a rolling landscape instead of over high mountains in the Pyrenees and the Alps. The highest mountains we find this year on day 4 in the Jura (France). The daily distances from start to finish via the shortest route are fairly limited with the purpose to reduce (long) neutral routes. This allows the teams to enjoy the beautiful actual rally route even more. There are a number of regularity stages in the route and there is a challenging test every day. The average length of the rally will be around 2.500 kilometers.
