Dear Rally Friends,

Only a few days to go until the start of the 67^th Tulpenrallye. In this Newsletter we give you the latest updates. We have included a tip for the “declaration on word of honour” for the trip to France. Also a start list has been published for the Route de la Tulipe des Châteaux on Sunday.

Startlist Route de la Tulipe des Châteaux

As announced in NB#13, the starting list for Route de la Tulipe des Châteaux has been drawn up. You can find it via this link. The request is to take these starting times into account. This prevents congestion and divides the participants evenly over the châteaux. Keep in mind that the ride takes about 3 hours in total, including 2 times a 15 minutes stop at the châteaux. Therefore do not stay too long at a chateau. We look forward to seeing you afterwards for drinks and dinner in the HQ hotel.

Tulpenrallye clothing

There has been a very positive response to the clothing delivered by State of Art. We even received requests for extra items. After the participants of the Partnerrally have collected their clothing, there will indeed be some items left over. We will sell them in Valkenburg for those who are interested. The resulting value will be donated to this year’s charity: Orange Babies.

Rectification: Tulpenrallye passes Bordeaux in 1949

Fortunately, we have many attentive readers. In Newsletter #13 we mentioned 1947 as the first Tulpenrallye year, this should of course be 1949. Thanks to everyone who has responded.

Revolo Tulpenrallye watch

That the world is facing some logistical issues since the corona outbreak, has been known for some time now. Unfortunately our watch sponsor was also affected. The supplier of the dials has not delivered the Tulpenrallye version. All watches are ready, but unfortunately they will not be available before the rally. The watches are not expected to be ready until early November 2021. Revolo will then send them directly to you. Ron Westrate from Revolo will be present during the Tulpenrallye. He will be happy to answer any questions you may have about this.

“declaration on word of honour”In France, it is compulsory to have a “declaration on word of honour”. Because this declaration must be signed, it is wise to arrange this at home. In the countries we visit, there is a mouth cap is obligatory in some places. The Tulpenrallye organization does distribute these mouth caps, so make sure you bring enough with you.

Breakdown on the way?

As in the previous edition of the Tulpenrallye, a truck from Logicx will drive along as a sweeper. If you unexpectedly run into a problem, Logicx has a free loaner car available to travel on to the next HQ-location. However, there is only one car. Stranded cars can be taken to a Dutch delivery address by Logicx. For this service € 450 excluding VAT will be charged by Logicx. Logicx takes the cars from the day stage to the next HQ for free.

Visitors at the finish in Valkenburg

All visitors are welcome at the finish location in Valkenburg. Chateau st. Gerlach applies rules for indoor catering (e.g. restaurants) on the whole terrain. Therefore a valid DCC is required to gain access.
